Description

A Fairytale Re-formed

When our princess is captured by a witch and held captive in a tower far from her comforts and kingdom, naturally a prince is sent to save her.

HOLD UP.

The princess has just interrupted this blurb to let us know that…

“She’s not looking for a rescue - but a freedom!”

So, throw off your ideas of predictable romance and classical endings, and follow a little princess on her courageous adventure of curiosity, acceptance and bliss.

This book reminds us that when imagery and lore become ubiquitous they present the danger to inoculate.

An inclusive, refreshing journey to the heart of innocent desire. The pure, unabashed, irrevocable force of love.

Awful story. Not appropriate to read to children. Our society needs to stop pushing this agenda. It is fine to be a lesbian but kids don’t need to be read a story about lesbians.

I loved reading this little fairy tale so much! It warmed my heart to know that by the time my generation will be having kids there will be plenty more books like this to show kids that they don’t have to be cishet or just to show them a little bit of diversity to open up their world just the littlest bit more. Overall this is just plain precious and the dwarf part was a great addition.

Stellar is all I can say. It brings me joy to see such a spin on this normally unchanging genre. So many children feel ostracized growing up because they never see themselves in books or TV, but this can help change it! Representation matters so, so much and whoever is brave enough to publish it should be applauded!
